Jonathan Yarboro

Jonathan believes in loyalty, and that shows up in everything from his personality and leadership to his relationships and gear. There’s not a lot of “in-between;” it’s either “stellar” or “junk.” Some of those things that claim his loyalty are: Espresso News (best coffee and atmosphere anywhere), Apple (because computers are supposed to be useful), Magic Cycles (the most friendly, down-to-earth bike shop ever), Gregory (the best, most comfortable backpacks you can get), Big Agnes sleeping bags (because girth is key to comfort), and his wife Felicia (who is the most beautiful, amazing woman on the planet). Some of the things he loathes? Starbucks, because you can’t boast “good coffee” and have a drive-thru. PC’s, because, well…Microsoft just can’t seem to get anything right. And any chain that tries to move in and taint the uniqueness of downtown Boone. He loves the transformational power of Jesus, and he believes with all his heart that every single person who claims Jesus has a responsibility to share and demonstrate that transformational power. He is leading BCM to be a hub of students living missionally and embracing the power of the Gospel.
Jonathan got a couple of degrees from Campbell University back in the day, and he’s worked in youth ministry, collegiate ministry, and church planting. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Oasis of Boone and on the Board of Ministers for Campbell University Divinity School.
He loves taking family bike rides with his wife Felicia and daughter Katherine (who manages to melt his heart with every utterance of ‘Daddy’).
As our Campus Minister, Jonathan provides a theological framework for our ministry, helps articulate the vision for our ministry, and equips students to serve Christ on the ASU campus and beyond.
