Hannah Lowman
Hannah Lowman, Connections Team Leader
Hannah’s vocational trajectory has changed drastically over the years. She started an early career in the heist industry as a steal-for-food thief concentrating on the acquisition of Play-Dough. Her career was short-lived, however, when her denial of the offense was negated by the evidence in her green teeth. She moved on to adopt a soaring aspiration of becoming a house painter. And now, upon transferring to App State as a Social Work major, Hannah has decided on a career that focuses on helping people. She identifies with Peter in the Bible, but she clarifies that it’s only because of his many mistakes and screw-ups. And because we enjoy drawing attention to abnormalities at BCM, it is important to know that Hannah is missing one of her big toenails. It will never grow back. But it’s ok because she just paints one directly onto her skin with nail polish. Clever, huh?
Some other wonderful things to know about Hannah:
- Favorite book ever? Captivating by John and Stasi Eldridge.
- Favorite music artists? Allison Kraus, Nora Jones, Colbie Calait
- Disgrace to the music industry? Lady Gaga
- Cold Mountain is the greatest movie of all time, but Nicholas Cage’s superior acting prowess (wink, wink) makes ConAir the best action flick of all time.
- The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is a waste of brain cells.
- Mosquitoes can die for all she cares.
- She likes her pizza from Frankies (Have you seen the size of that pie?), and she frequents Espresso News for her coffee.
- She prefers donning a swimsuit to pulling on spandex for cycling, running shorts for running, or sweats for couch-potato-ing.
- She is more apt to eat boogers, earwax, or toenails than munch on a scab.
Hannah got involved in BCM here at App even before she transferred here. She loves how she’s never felt entirely comfortable in BCM, and she looks forward to advocating a greater sense of love within the ministry this year while simultaneously pushing people to become more and more uncomfortable by living missionally wherever they are. It’s a good thing, too, because as the Connections Team Leader, Hannah is responsible for leading the team that connects people – to each other and to our vision. Hannah loves people – genuinely loves them – and she wants to make sure that everyone who wants to be connected to BCM feels cared for and connected. You can email Hannah at lowmanhp@appstate.edu.
