We might as well just throw it out there. Our goal is to have students leave BCM as missionaries…wherever they are and in whatever they are doing vocationally. And we don’t think it’s something you have to wait around on until you get some seminary degree. We know that’s intense, and we know it’s not everybody’s bag. But it is our bag.
From the moment a student connects with BCM as a freshman, the training begins. It’s what Freshman CrossOver is really all about. We teach freshmen not to retreat from “college life” but to embrace it as a missionary.
Even after that first year, our Epoch is about becoming missionaries. We talk about things like missional living, contextualizing the Gospel, and spiritual authenticity. For us, living as a missionary is rooted in our own understanding of what the gospel has done in our lives. It’s powerful stuff. We believe the gospel changes everything.
